(Joined the company 4 months ago, female staff, previous job: restaurant worker)
Why did you choose this job?
“I always loved customer service and worked in restaurants.
As I gained experience, I felt a strong desire to improve my customer service skills.
I was interested in working at the front desk, where I could interact with a wide range of customers.

    【What is your current job?】
“The most important thing is handling customer check-in and check-out.
Other duties include answering the phone, accepting and entering hotel reservations, and responding to reviews.
I am entrusted with a wide range of tasks.
The customer service skills I wanted to hone were also improved by the customer service supervisors and managers.
I can learn basic manners and behavior from a "customer service professional," so I feel more confident than before.
I feel like I've been able to grow."

[Please tell us what you gain from your work and what is rewarding about it]
"The front desk is an important position that determines the impression of the hotel.
They receive various requests from customers and are required to respond flexibly.
It's difficult, but it's also great to hear customers say "thank you" directly.
It’s fascinating to be able to receive it.
Even when I was not yet used to the job and made the customer wait a little,
"Thank you for your diligent research," I was told.
I am very grateful and feel it is very rewarding.”

What is the atmosphere like at work?
“The ratio of men to women at the front desk is about 1:2, so there are slightly more female staff than male staff.
There are many students, part-time workers, and housewives among our customers.
I was involved in the opening of a new hotel and worked with other stores.
We had the opportunity to work together, and we worked together to run the hotel and make it a success.
We are able to work with a sense of camaraderie.
There are many new hotels that have just opened, so they are very clean facilities.
I'm also happy to be able to work in an environment with new equipment (laughs)."
